Dorsey C. Miller, III is a native of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2002. After finishing high school, he attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, graduating with honors in 1999 with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science. He remained in Gainesville to attend the University of Florida Levin College of Law and received his Juris Doctorate in May of 2002. He previously worked at Haliczer, Pettis & Schwamm, P.A. as a law clerk for two years before joining the firm as an associate.

During his undergraduate years, Mr. Miller had the opportunity to serve his fellow students in multiple leadership capacities, including serving as a Cabinet Coordinator for Student Government, President of the Omicron Zeta Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and President of the University of Florida Branch of the National Pan-Hellenic Council. Since graduating, Mr. Miller has added to his record of leadership by serving as President of the local graduate chapter of his fraternity, and through his participation in Leadership Broward, a premier leadership development program designed for adults at least 25 years of age who currently hold leadership positions and are involved in their community. Mr. Miller has received numerous awards from his fraternity and has also been listed in Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities, Strathmore’s Who’s Who, 2004 -2005 edition, and was inducted into both Florida Blue Key Honor Fraternity and the University of Florida Hall of Fame in 1999.

Mr. Miller’s professional affiliations include Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, the American Bar Association, the Broward County Bar Association and the T.J. Reddick Bar Association. He is also a member of the local branch of the NAACP and volunteers time each month to the organization’s Legal Redress Clinic. He is admitted to the Federal Bar for the Southern District of Florida and in addition to trying cases in both state and federal court, has also argued before the Fourth District Court of Appeal for the State of Florida.
